File Format

What are three advantages of a RAW file:
-higher resolution
-higer in dynamic range
-uncompressed
What is one disadvantage of a RAW file:
- it has a big file size
What are three advantages of a JPEG file
-small file size
-the standard form of a computer and a camera
-higher contrast
What is one disadvantage of a JPEG file
- it is lower resolution then a RAW file

  1. It captures all of the data
  2. Photographers use it because you have more control over what you can change in a picture
  3. Use a photographer need to know that a RAW file takes up more space and can only be converted one way to a JPEG but it can never go from JPEG to RAW
  4. RAW works for me because it gives me more control when editing

  1. I have used JPEG and RAW and thats it
  2. Roster are usually lossless compressed meaning they look like a perfect copy but there not and vector files are usually lossy compressed witch is were the file is a perfect copy witch usually results in a bigger file size

  1. This is lossless
  2. Roster file you use in just a normal setting but vector files you would use in a professional setting or if you wanted to become a professional photographer.
  3. Yes I can
